one way of making the job of finding any eggs that your snails may have laid before they hatch. (a problem many people have had) is to use capillary matting as you main substrate, and have a tub of moss or coir for your snails to bury in, this means that on a nightly or every other night you can just tip the tub of coir into a container, sift through, remove any eggs, and then just place the tub of coir back into the tank. this way you can have the peace of mind that you haven't missed any eggs.

that is a very easy way to do it, but what i do is just sift through the soil evey week.

but now that i only have one garlic snail, i dont have to worry about eggs anymore, that is an up side to having only one snail.
